Google Workspace Automation
Turn quotation templates, stock records, and budgets into connected operational workflows.
Confidential project · Client identity and operational data remain private. The public demo is a separate reconstruction with fictional records, rather than access to the client application.
THE CONTEXT
What the work connects.
Spreadsheets already hold the information a team needs. The repetitive work happens between them: preparing a quotation, saving its document, recapping the transaction, updating stock, and collecting monthly figures.
- Built for
- Business teams working in Google Sheets
- My contribution
- I developed Apps Script automations and customized spreadsheet workflows for quotation documents, inventory movements, and budgeting. My contribution combines scripting with adapting and maintaining existing spreadsheet systems.
HOW IT WORKS
From one step to the next.
- 01
Item & customer lists
Shared information for the quotation
- 02
Quotation form
Quantities and prices calculate the total
- 03
Document & recap
Save a PDF and its reference
- 04
Drive filing
Keep the document easy to find
The quotation workflow connects a completed form to a PDF, a recap entry, and Google Drive filing. Inventory uses item identifiers to connect incoming and outgoing movements to current balances. Budget summaries pull the relevant categories from monthly sheets into a single review.
CONNECTED SPREADSHEETS
Follow the information.
Quotations: one form becomes a document record
The customer directory and item list supply reusable information to document forms. Quantities and prices produce the document total; document numbers, customers, values, and file references are collected in a recap. The public workbook demonstrates these relationships without private scripts or documents.
- 01
Customer & item lists
Reusable names, units, and prices
- 02
Quotation form
Selected items and quantities
- 03
Document total
Quantity × price, then a combined total
- 04
Document recap
Reference, customer, date, and value
Inventory: movements become balances
The item list supplies names and units to movement records. Incoming and outgoing quantities are grouped by item, then combined with opening stock to calculate the current balance and its value.
- 01
Item list
Item codes, units, and sample costs
- 02
Incoming & outgoing
Movements identify the same item code
- 03
Stock balance
Opening + incoming − outgoing
- 04
Stock overview
Availability and inventory value
Budgeting: monthly entries become a review
The original workbook gathers spending and allocation categories from monthly tabs, using category lookups and references to selected external sheets. The public sample simplifies this into a self-contained budget-versus-actual exercise. It has no connection to client files.
- 01
Monthly inputs
Spending and allocation categories
- 02
Category lookup
Find the relevant monthly figures
- 03
Period totals
Consolidate the selected categories
- 04
Budget overview
Review several months together
Sales monitoring: records become an owner’s view
Invoice records are prepared into consistent rows before being grouped by period. Sales and cost figures produce gross profit, while recorded payments and remaining balances describe collections and receivables. Keeping these measures separate makes the overview easier to interpret.
- 01
Invoice records
Sales, costs, and recorded payments
- 02
Prepared rows
Consistent fields for period filters
- 03
Monthly summary
Sales, gross profit, cash, and balances
- 04
Owner’s overview
A readable view with traceable sources
THE RESULT
A working path through the task.
The workflows turn familiar spreadsheets into connected working tools. Separate sample workbooks let visitors change quantities, stock movements, and monthly spending to see the relationships recalculate. The web demo illustrates document preparation; it does not run the private scripts or write into client files.
